Rustic ambience, authentic wooden beams, idyllic surroundings: The Leitner Gut in the Innviertel scores with this and is also the perfect backdrop for the Bohemian Spring. From Friday, May 5th to Sunday, May 7th, the focus will be on traditional brass band music. It starts on Friday at 6.30 p.m. – then the first band will be on stage in the rustic Woodstock-Stadel and breathe new life into the genre. The Tegernseer Tanzlmusi, Allgäu6, the brass band Ceska and Brassaranka will then be partying into the night.
On the second day of the event, the Copa Kapella band competition begins at 1 p.m., in which four bands compete for a performance at the Woodstock of Brass Bands. This is followed by the musicians’ get-together, at which all visitors are invited to make music together. At 6.30 p.m., Dogetha-Blech will ring in the second evening. Followed by Vlado Kumpan & his musicians, the Innsbrucker Böhmische and PS:reloaded. Sunday is the cozy end of the weekend. The day starts with a joint service, followed by a morning pint with Blech&White and Franz Posch & his Innbrüggler.
A special highlight of this weekend is undoubtedly the already described Copa Kapella band competition on Saturday afternoon. As part of a public vote, it will be decided which two of the four bands will win a performance at the Woodstock der Blasmusik 2023. Also present are: d’Junge Wenger Tanzlmusi – JWT, Greim Brass, Schlapfn7 and Viehweid’ 6.
Tickets (festival pass and day tickets) for the Bohemian Spring are available from 19.90 euros at www.boehmischer-fruehling.at. Camping and caravan tickets are also available. There is a ten percent discount for Woodclub members and there are also reduced rates for groups.
