The credit can be taken in dollars or Uruguayan pesos, and will have a maximum limit per tank of US$300 or $12,000.
He Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries (MGAP) opened the applications to the Emergency Agricultural Fund (FAE) so that beekeepers (with drums gathered) with up to 1,800 hiveswho are up to date with the MGAP, can access a loan with a maximum limit per tank of 300 dollars or 12,000 pesoschoice.
The credit limit is 1,080,000 pesosor its equivalent in dollars (almost $28,000). In the event that the beekeeper had already accessed a part of it through the hives, an extension will be granted for the tanks, and this will be the difference between the mentioned limit and the one calculated per hive.
The conditions will be the same as those of the current credits of the FAE. The interest rate will be:
- 0% for beekeepers with up to 1000 hives, Affidavit on date (July 2022) and that it has passed through honey extraction room enabled.
- 10% for beekeepers with an Affidavit out of date or with between 1001 and 1800 hives.
- 2% in case of opting for credit in dollars.
The deadline for submitting and returning the credit will be in accordance with the conditions specified for the FAE.
Beekeeping: (Interest Rate 0% or 10%).
- 2023-2024: Grace years Principal and Interest (if appropriate).
- 05/20/25: Capital Payment + Interest (if appropriate).
- 05/20/26: Capital Payment + Interest (if appropriate).
- 05/20/27: Capital Payment + Interest (if appropriate).
How to access credit for beekeepers?
The digital form must be completed with the required data, and once the complete forms have been collected from each beekeeper, the Uruguayan Beekeeping Society (SAU) will send them weekly to the General Directorate of the Farm (Digegra) to process the information. To access the form click here.

- Those who previously applied to the FAE for beehives should only fill out the Google Forms on the SAU website and the Honorary Beekeeping Development Commission (CHDA).
The producer who wants to have a proof of application, should know that the form, once completed and sent, displays a message that says: “FAE Credit Application Form (drums). Your response has been recorded“. This will mean that the form was completed and submitted correctly.
