At the Green Tourism Conference in Vienna, eleven accommodation providers from six federal states were awarded the Austrian Ecolabel and the EU Ecolabel. Among them were the Mühl-fun-Quarter in Klaffer and the Hotel Aviva in St. Stefan.
The Austrian eco-label has been used in tourism since 1996. One of the new licensees is the Mühl-fun district in Klaffer, which combines the infrastructure of a youth hostel, a campground and a tipi village.

The Hotel Aviva in St. Stefan-Afiesl is also one of the youngest eco-label and EU Ecolabel establishments. The Aviva has been actively involved in environmental protection for several years. Activities and offers such as regional shopping, the digitization of many processes, a four-day week, a car-sharing exchange, a shuttle, efficient use of energy, a green option for guests, a rainwater cistern with a capacity of 30,000 liters and many more have now led to the decision to take this to the outside world and to be certified with the European and Austrian eco-label.
In the next few months, everything at the Aviva will revolve around environmental protection: The construction of a PV car park roof with a dimensioning of 440 kWp and six e-charging stations will be completed.
