The English teacher set fire to the English exams of 63 students in a metal bucket on Tuesday, the newspaper reported “Le Parisien” on Wednesday. None of his students were able to speak English, which shows that the lessons of the past seven years are no good, said the substitute teacher.
That’s why he revealed the exam questions to his class. When this blew up and there were other tasks, he decided on the spectacular action that was filmed by the newspaper. Of the 63 papers he burned, the vast majority, in his opinion, were disastrous, the teacher said. This shows that it could not have been due to a lack of willingness to learn on the part of some students. As the school board told the newspaper, a complaint had been filed against the substitute teacher, whose contract would not be renewed. Precautions have been taken to ensure that the students are not disadvantaged in the Matura. It was not said whether they would have to take the test again.
