“I think they’re moving forward, it’s hard to say. We’re not at the tipping point yet,” Biden told reporters at Joint Base Andrews. “We will know more in the next two days,” he added.

Biden is scheduled to meet with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Republican, and other congressional leaders early next week to resume negotiations.
The leaders had canceled a meeting scheduled for Friday to allow staff to continue discussions.
Aides to Biden and McCarthy have begun discussing ways to limit federal spending as talks progress to raise the government’s $31.4 trillion debt ceiling and avoid a catastrophic default, Reuters has reported.
The Treasury Department says it could run out of money on June 1 unless lawmakers raise the nation’s debt ceiling. (Reporting by Jeff Mason; Writing by Eric Beech; Editing in Spanish by Ricardo Figueroa)
