Eight employees now do sports regularly and visit a fitness studio. “The ‘Fit through life’ program was developed as a project. Now it’s a fixed part of everyday workshop life,” says Elias Bayer.
The employee at Lebenshilfe, who is enthusiastic about sports, has incorporated his hobby into his everyday work and motivated him to do sports regularly. Once a week there is sport on the program for the participants, once a month the “Energy Fitness” gym in St. Florian can be visited free of charge. “At first I thought I wouldn’t be able to do it, but thanks to Elias Bayer I have more energy now and I feel a lot better,” says Nico Steglegger, a participant in the project who was able to overcome his “inner weakness”. The Lebenshilfe-Werkstätte Eggerding is the workplace for 25 people with intellectual disabilities. A variety of different job and employment offers makes it possible to find a job that is adapted to the requirements and interests.
