A serious traffic accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at around 3.30 p.m. on the B141 in the Oberlangstandl area near the SV Ried football academy. For reasons that are not yet known, there was a head-on collision between a minibus and a truck on the busy road. The minibus was thrown onto its side as a result of the impact and came to rest in the ditch. The truck came to a stop beside the road. According to information from the Ried volunteer fire brigade, the emergency doctor who was alerted could only find the driver of the minibus dead. The truck driver was slightly injured and treated by the Red Cross. The B141 was closed to traffic for around three hours.
