But before Sunday are Friday and Saturday: Am Friday the day starts over the lowlands in the north and east, on the eastern edge of the Alps as well as in south-eastern Styria with residual clouds or with partly tough high-fog clouds. In the afternoon, however, partly sunny weather will prevail. Away from the fog areas, however, there is an alternation of sunshine and stronger cumulus clouds throughout the day. Individual rain showers can develop in the afternoon, especially over the Alpine peaks in the southwest and in Styria, but they remain locally limited. In the Danube region in particular, moderate to brisk east to south-east winds will blow. The early temperatures are four to ten degrees, the afternoon temperatures reach 14 to 21 degrees, it is warmest in the west.
The Saturday starts shower-prone in the southeast. During the day, the shower activity will spread to the west and the entire south. In the east and southeast, thunderstorms with heavy downpours are also expected in the afternoon. In the north it is cloudy and tends to be free of precipitation. In the eastern half mostly brisk easterly wind, which hardly abates in the Danube region even in the evening. From seven to twelve degrees in the morning, the temperatures rise to a maximum of 19 to 24 degrees.
At the Sunday Local fog fields are to be expected in basins and valleys. But these are not permanent. Apart from that, the weather is mostly sunny. Over the course of the day, however, cumulus clouds appear more and more frequently over the Alpine peaks. With these, the risk of showers and thunderstorms increases locally. It will blow weak to moderate, in parts of Upper and Lower Austria moderate to brisk wind from easterly directions. It is eight to 14 degrees in the morning, the maximum daily temperatures reach 20 to 26 degrees.
At the Monday local fog lies in some inner-Alpine basins and valleys in the morning. Apart from that, however, the weather is often sunny until midday. However, more and more cumulus clouds are gradually forming over the Alpine peaks and with them the risk of showers and thunderstorms increases, especially in the south and south-east. In addition, there will be a weak to moderate wind from east to south. The early temperatures range from six to 13 degrees, the maximum values reach 20 to 27 degrees in the afternoon.
The Tuesday starts mostly sunny. The last clouds quickly disappear. In the course of the day, however, more and more cumulus clouds, rain showers and thunderstorms will form from the western mountains. These gradually spread towards the east and south by the afternoon and evening. The wind will be weak to moderate from the southeast. With the partly thundery rain showers, the wind is slowly turning to the west. From eight to 15 degrees, the temperatures rise again to 20 to 27 degrees.
