Amazon Echo: New smart devices for your own four walls

Amazon has presented four new Echo devices. The new versions of the smart speaker with the voice assistant Alexa are aimed at different target groups. For the first time, a device especially for children will be available in the German-speaking area. The new products at a glance.

Echo Pop: The latest member of the Echo family comes in a compact form and a new design with different colors. The Echo Pop is specially designed for small rooms. The loudspeaker without a display is available for EUR 54.99.

Echo Show 5: The Echo Show 5, which is also new, costs around twice as much, namely 109.99 euros. Here, Alexa is also supported by a screen. The manufacturer promises “twice as much” bass as in the previous model.

Echo Show 5 Kids: The space-design model, specially designed for children, is available in Germany for the first time. An annual subscription to the child-friendly media library Amazon Kids+ and a two-year guarantee are included. Alexa is tuned for child-friendly responses here.

Echo car: Also new in German-speaking countries is Echo Auto, which was designed for use in vehicles. The device can be easily attached in the car with a self-adhesive holder. In this way, users can listen to music, news or podcasts, make phone calls or switch on the heating in their home when they are out and about. Echo Auto costs 69.99 euros.
