A 79-year-old from the Gmunden district rode his e-bike on the cycle path along the B145 from Traunkirchen towards Ebensee on Saturday around 4:35 p.m. In the municipality of Ebensee, he avoided a car that stopped on the bike path. He got on the curb and fell. Two cyclists riding behind him provided first aid and called the rescue service. The pensioner, who was not wearing a bicycle helmet, suffered injuries of an unspecified degree and was admitted to the Salzkammergut Klinikum Bad Ischl.
