Lewis Hamilton’s contract with Mercedes expires at the end of this year – as so often in the past, there is speculation about the future of the seven-time Formula 1 world champion.
Rumors of a possible Mercedes farewell to Hamilton are now fueled by the British newspaper “Daily Mail”. According to one report, Ferrari is preparing an offer to Hamilton that would bring him the equivalent of €45m a year. Allegedly, the Scuderia is already in contact with the 38-year-old.

Although he had already imagined what it would be like to “drive in red,” Hamilton recently said in an interview with the US broadcaster ESPN. “But then I go to my team, to Mercedes, and that is my home. I’m happy where I am.” And further: “I haven’t signed a contract yet, but we’re working on one.” Team boss Toto Wolff had recently emphasized that he wanted to continue working with Lewis Hamilton.
