The man was on his paraglider from Bad Aussee towards Bad Ischl. During the flight, the wind conditions forced him to make an emergency landing on a ridge. However, when trying to take off again, the Innviertler came downwind and began to turn uncontrollably. He finally landed in a pine field at around 4:40 p.m., sustaining minor injuries.
A woman who had observed the accident informed the rescue workers, who rescued the man with the emergency helicopter and transported him to the Salzkammergut Klinikum Bad Ischl for medical treatment.
