88 percent of climate ticket users are satisfied with their ticket. Those surveyed were particularly pleased with the transport options, the value for money and road safety. This was the conclusion of a survey by the market research institute QS Research & Consulting with more than 24,000 participants on behalf of the Ministry of the Environment.

According to the survey, the climate ticket has changed the way people use public transport. The mobility behavior has shifted in the direction of public transport, especially among people who have the national ticket (58 percent). They stated that they now use public transport more often than their own car. But this trend was also evident among those who have a regional ticket (36 percent).

According to Climate Protection Minister Leonore Gewessler (Greens), the positive feedback would “confirm the path we have taken”. According to Gewessler, public transport is now being further improved. This was rated differently by the respondents – either as a strength or a deficiency. For owners of national tickets, this was the main point of criticism (87 percent). Respondents who have a regional climate ticket were more satisfied with this (78 percent).
