“This morning, at dawn, a drone attack caused minor damage to several buildings,” Mayor Sergei Sobyanin told Telegram. The agency RIA reported with reference to the rescue of an injured person. As regional governor Andrei Vorobyov said, several drones were shot down while approaching Moscow.
Some residents of a building in the south of the city would have to leave their homes and would be taken to safety, it said. Several Russian Telegram news channels said four to ten drones had been shot down on the outskirts of Moscow and in the immediate vicinity.
It was initially not clear who launched the drones. Russia launched a massive drone attack on the Ukrainian capital of Kiev on Monday.
