The 15-year-old from Schlierbach rode his moped on a supply road in the “Au Wiese” in the municipality of Inzersdorf (Kirchdorf district) from Schlierbach in the direction of Inzersdorf. When two hares suddenly crossed the road from the right, he swerved his moped, got into an adjacent flat meadow and fell into a ditch after about 20 meters. Both the driver and his 13-year-old friend from Schlierbach, who was riding in the passenger seat, suffered serious hand injuries. After receiving first aid from an emergency doctor, they were admitted to the Pyhrn-Eisenwurzen Klinikum Kirchdorf or the Klinikum Wels.
