What a start! Right at the beginning of the individual state championships in weightlifting, there were two gold medals for the Innviertel – namely by 14-year-old Juliane Maderegger (up to 45 kg) with 80 kg in a duel and by 30-year-old Petra Schmutzer (up to 55 kg). 133 kilograms in a duel (both Union holes). The next day, the 24-year-old physiotherapist Jakob Weber (also Union Lochen) delivered a really strong competition in the weight class up to 73 kilograms. With 113 kilograms in the snatch, he already lost three kilograms from his fiercest competitor Jonas Klinger. The correct tactics were then required in pushing. Klinger started at 134 kilograms, Weber at 136. Both continued to do so and fought an intense duel, but in the end the weightlifter from Union Lochen was able to celebrate the state championship title. Patrick Dürnberger showed his full strength this time. The Ranshofner won the state championship title in the class up to 102 kilograms with a duel performance of 295 kilograms.
In addition to the gold medals, there were other successes for the strong people from the Innviertel: Phillip Boresch (Ranshofen/up to 89 kg) won the silver medal, while Claudia Krepper (Ranshofen/up to 59 kg) got bronze.
In the juniors there were gold medals for Juliane Maderegger (U15/45 kg), Anna Maria Voggenberger (U17/55 kg) and Helena Maderegger (U17/59 kg – all Union Lochen). Jessica Stauceanu (U20/71 kg) from Union Lochen also won the silver medal.
