In the District League East Naarn took advantage of Garsten’s mistake and is now only three points behind the leader of the table. In addition, Naarn still has an addendum game (on June 7th at SC. St. Valentin) in hand. But first it’s off to Leonding tomorrow. Competitor Garsten is already playing at home against the latecomer Kronstorf.
Also in the District League North the championship decision was adjourned. After losing 3-1 in the top game in Eferding last weekend, Katsdorf is only three points ahead. The Katsdorfer are playing against Königswiesen in front of their home crowd today. Eferding is a guest at fourth-placed St. Oswald near Freistadt.
“We want to put in a decent performance and preferably score points against this top opponent,” says Putzleinsdorf’s coach Adis Mujkanovic before today’s state league duel with second-placed Bad Leonfelden. The promoted team has a five-point lead over the penultimate St. Magdalena and could make everything clear with a home win. (fr)
