Ironically, in the courtyard of the private Catholic university, an open-air musical with side blows at the church is being performed. Inspired by the film The Blues Brothers (1980), The Blues Brothers also incorporates elements from the legendary 90’s comedy Sister Act.
Written by Werner Rohrhofer, the play tells the story of two convicted brothers who do their social service in a nunnery. They learn that the monastery is to be demolished to build a shopping mall. In order to stop the mafia’s plan, they pretend to have discovered a relic, the severed hand (pointing out the middle finger) of the first baptized Native American.
Directed by Nik Raspotnik and Raimund Stangl. The former promises “critical points without profanity”. The music will be played by the Mühlviertel band “Blues Büro” and the “Almtal Powerhorns”. In bad weather, you want to switch to the BRG Fadingerstraße.
