A 14-year-old man who “borrowed” his grandmother’s car on Sunday night and, under the influence of alcohol, caused an accident on the Gleikerau goods road, must be prepared for some trouble.
The idea for this must have come to the boy from the Kirchdorf district in the hours after midnight and the consumption of beer. At around 4.25 a.m. he was driving the grandmother’s car, who lives in the same house and knew nothing about the grandson’s trip in her car, on the goods road. In a left turn, he came onto the shoulder and lost control of the vehicle. The car then touched a group of trees on the left-hand side of the road, turned on its own axis and came to a standstill on an embankment next to a stream.
The 14-year-old, who was fortunately unharmed, made his way back towards the hospital at Pyhrn on foot. However, he was investigated and is reported to the BH Kirchdorf for several administrative violations. A breathalyzer showed 0.48 per mille.
