A 26-year-old man from Styria crashed his racing bike into a team transporter of the fire brigade in the German city of Nordhausen that was standing on the side of the road. He sustained such serious injuries that he died at the scene of the accident.
The racing cyclist had been traveling directly behind the vehicle when the 19-year-old, not under the influence of alcohol, stopped the transporter because of the nausea of a teammate, according to the police.
