Fancap seeks to know what the future of Portland workers will be
On May 30, Fancap delivered a letter to the Executive Tower demanding the situation of their jobs. The President of the Federation, Natalia Belloassured that “there are no guarantees in the portland bidding document“in the future, where in addition”international conventions of the International Labor Organization are violated (ILO) putting a price on each worker as if he were another commodity“.
Belo clarified that with the coordinator of Ancap unions they approached the Executive Tower to “demand for the wealth in the hands of the State”, so that “the workers are not fooled”. seeking to clarify what will be the future of the autonomous entity and its related collateral companies.
For the president of Fancap, the only thing that emerges from the Portland tender document is that “the association will determine the number of workers to relocate.” “The wide margin towards private capital in the association, and the minimum in the State, does not guarantee jobs“, he remarked.
