The traffic club is also on the spot again with breakdown assistance. Around 200,000 visitors are expected at the festival. The journey is spread over several days, but most visitors use Wednesday for this. In order to make the journey as smooth as possible, there has been a travel concept for several years. This was also improved this year for any bad weather. However, the ÖAMTC warns that traffic jams are likely to occur during the main arrival times.
The direct access to the festival site is via the Ost-Autobahn (A4). If the rush is very large, the Mönchhof exit will be diverted if necessary. The Erdberger Lände in the direction of the A4 is closed from Wednesday night to Monday. Locally, the side lane and Ludwig-Kößler-Platz will be diverted, but there should still be significant traffic jams. Visitors coming from Vienna’s city center are therefore advised to give way on a large scale.
Festival guests cannot be brought directly to the site or picked up from there. There is a specially set up car park at the Nickelsdorf sports field for this purpose. From there there is a shuttle bus. In principle, the ÖAMTC recommends arriving by public transport by bus and train.
