Around 370 participants were counted on Sunday at the 42nd Tuscany Run in Gmunden. The victories over the 4.2-kilometer distance went to Andreas Raffler, who completed the distance in 14:06 minutes, and Verena Palmstorfer (18:55). With Ingomar Hager (28:24) and Sabine Schnölzer (31:58), two athletes from the LCAV Jodl Packaging prevailed over 8.3 kilometers. The Gmunden-Traundorf middle school provided the largest team with 29 students. As a sweet and frothy surprise prize, there was the Tatzlwurm to snack on together.
There was also running in Mondseeland on Sunday: Kenyan Castor Omwena Mogeni won the 41st edition of the half marathon in 1:04:39 hours ahead of two compatriots. The best Austrian was Manfred Steger (LC Sicking, 1:12:03) as fourth overall. The fastest lady was Veronika Mutsch from Salzburg in 1:23:35.
