The OÖN had already reported about it, after yesterday’s board meeting it was certain: second division relegated SK Forward Steyr separates from coach Daniel Madlener. A successor who dares to restart in the regional league with the red and white should soon be certain: “I want to clarify the coaching question ideally this week,” says sports director Gerald Perzy.
The 55-year-old will generally have a lot of work to do in the coming weeks: the past few years in the second division have not only exhausted the budget, but exceeded it. A similar minus as in the previous year (negative annual result of 496,000 euros) will remain from this season. Perzy: “Financially, the shoe pinches.”
The belt has to be tightened significantly – the budget is to be cut by 20 to 30 percent. The planned construction projects, such as a new VIP club, are also being put on hold for the time being.
