The police have clarified numerous cases of serious property damage in the Attnang-Puchheim and Schwanenstadt area: In the first four months of 2023, a group of six young men are said to have set garbage containers, waste paper bins and facades on fire at 16 different crime scenes.
The boys between the ages of 17 and 23 often handled the firecrackers they had built themselves. In addition, they severely damaged a balcony with such an explosive device and also caused damage to a moped. The sextet is also responsible for the suppression of documents.
After extensive investigations, the perpetrators could now be found, the police said on Wednesday evening. The total amount of damage amounts to around 35,000 euros. The six young men cited boredom and group dynamics as the motive. They are repeatedly reported to the public prosecutor’s office in Wels.
