A 31-year-old Romanian citizen was arrested on June 5 in Braunau. You are accused of a number of fraud offenses. Among other things, she is said to have stated that she needed an operation that was not paid for in Austria. She is said to have lured several thousand euros out of several men.
Further investigations are now underway. Because there could be more victims. According to the police in the city of Braunau, the 31-year-old has increasingly approached older, male people. She helped them with carrying their purchases, washing dishes or cleaning the apartments. After making such contact, the 31-year-old kept showing up at victims’ addresses, enticing them to give their money, giving false reasons such as urgent surgery, travel, school supplies for children, no money to live on or food give.
