Assange: Appeal rejected

A judge in London’s High Court rejected two appeals submitted by Assange’s lawyers. The danger that the 51-year-old will actually be transferred to the United States is “more real than ever before,” said the organization “Reporters Without Borders” (RSF). There he faces up to 175 years in prison.

Assange now wants to submit another appeal. He is accused of stealing and publishing classified material from US military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
