A 70-year-old German wanted to turn his car around on Wolfgangseestraße, but missed a motorcycle that crashed into the car that was standing across the street. The 54-year-old driver of the motorcycle was seriously injured and flown to the LKH Salzburg with the rescue helicopter. His 41-year-old passenger was injured and taken to the Bad Ischl Clinic, the Salzburg police reported.
B158 closed for one hour
Both injured wore helmets and protective gear. The couple from Germany remained unharmed. A breathalyser test on the driver was negative. The Strobl volunteer fire brigade was deployed with three vehicles and 16 people, as well as the Red Cross with ten people. The B158 was closed in about an hour.
