The fire brigade announced that eight people were seriously injured in the village of Cléry-Saint-André not far from Orléans on Saturday. A total of 70 people were affected by the incident. As the broadcaster France 3 reported, the accident happened when the wedding party was just leaving the registry office.
The driver may have had health problems and therefore lost control of the small car. The fire brigade was in action with a large contingent in the village.
