The water crisis continues to leave sequelae, not only in the field of production and industry, but also in Uruguayan homes where cases of broken water heaters have increased due to the presence of higher levels of chloride and sodium in the tap water in the metropolitan area and Montevideo.

The lack of water is not only causing consequences in the consumption of drinking water for citizens, but also household appliances for private use are affected. The manager of Hogar Montevideo, Mario Arismendi, He told the press that in the last two months the claims for technical services for breaks in water heaters, both gas and electricity, have increased considerably. As explained by the manager of the company, there are puncture cases even on devices that are still under warranty.
