The tournament, in which residents, employees, children and guests of honor took part, was held in a fun court that was completed about a year ago. “Back then, we wanted to memorialize Stefan Ecker, which is how the idea for the fun court came about. Stefan was active at the Pamingerhof for 20 years, and he was also known in the region as one of the biggest fans of FC Union St. Aegidi,” says social worker Patrick Eßl.

The eight participating teams scored a total of 117 goals over the course of the tournament. The focus was on fun and fair play. The tournament was organized by Patrick Eßl and Philipp Sinzinger.

Coach Harald Fischer from Union St. Aegidi, who has been working for Caritas invita himself since last year: “Our children were fully motivated and were very happy that they could play here again. They bought t-shirts especially for the tournament had it printed and took third place. Stefan Ecker knew all of Aegidi. He was always present, people keep talking about him. We miss him.”
