A few days after the start of the summer break, LASK announced another reinforcement for the coming season: Sanoussy Ba, the new left-back for the Black and Whites, is loaned to Linz from German cup winners RB Leipzig for a year. Born in Bavaria (Hof), he went through the youth academy of Saxony from 2016 and made the leap into the professional squad for the 2022/23 season. In the past season, Sanoussy Ba was regularly part of the Leipzig matchday squad, including in the DFB Cup final victory against Eintracht Frankfurt. He has also played for Germany’s junior national teams: seven appearances for Germany’s U18s and U19s are on the books.

“With Sanoussy we’re getting a very technically gifted player. He’s two-footed, can be used in both full-back positions and therefore makes us even more versatile. The fact that he was regularly in the matchday squad of a top German club as a 19-year-old shows his high quality,” says Radovan Vujanovic, Managing Director Sport.

The LASK is the first foreign station for Sanoussy Ba: “I’m really looking forward to the coming season, an exciting league awaits me and of course the European Cup also appeals to me. I’m convinced that I can learn a lot here at LASK and take the next step in my career.”
