Franz Lehár’s operetta Schön ist die Welt is a precious rarity that is ideally suited to Bad Ischl, as the action takes place in the Alps. The turbulent story of two royal children who do not want to marry is embedded in a virtuoso musical painting. The piece is Lehár’s declaration of love to the mountains.
This musically refined creation by the operetta grandmaster will be staged semi-staged and with a top-class cast by the Lehár Festival Bad Ischl in 2023.
