A group of archaeologists found the historical remains in a garbage dump in Lima. According to specialists, the body “had been left or offered (as a sacrifice).”
A group of archaeologists in Peru found – while digging in a garbage collector in the capital of the country, Lime– a prehispanic mummy which would have approximately 3,000 years and it comes from the times of the manchay culturewhose members lived there from around the 1,500 BC to 1,000 BC
the students of the National University of San Marcoswho are helping with the excavation located next to a training ground of a professional soccer club, Sporting Cristalthey first found their black hair and his skull. For his part, the archaeologist Miguel Aguilar said they had withdrawn eight tons of garbage of the place before beginning the careful search of the historical remains.

The mummy, according to Aguilar, had been placed in a tomb in the center of a temple in a “U” shape, a feature of some prehispanic buildings. The specialist also assured that the body -wrapped in cotton fabrics, coca leaves and vegetable fiber– was in supine position, face upa characteristic aspect of the manchay culture of the “formative period of America”3,000 years ago.

the skeleton of male sex had lower extremities tied with a braided liana rope of vegetable origin and a set of stones surrounded the mummy buried one meter above the surface from the top. Along the same lines, the archaeologist expressed that the person “had been left or offered (as a sacrifice) during the last phase of construction of this temple”.

Finally, Aguilar assured that, along with the skeleton, they found ancient fly eggsso they deduce that the body was exposed at least several days before being covered with soil. The mummy has not yet been subjected to a radiocarbon dating to know your antiquity.
