Even as a teenager, Gernot Reisinger worked on the wood in his aunt’s forest. The interest in agriculture and forestry made the boy from the “Valley of the Feitelmacher” complete the HTBLA Steyr in Trattenbach with a focus on mechanical engineering and mechatronics. After taking over the Forstgut in 2012, Reisinger quickly realized that he wanted to gain even more knowledge for the management. The young man enrolled in a master class. After several years of training and the final exam, he now received 89 colleagues from the hands of Federal Councilor Johanna Miesenberger and the chairwoman of the “ARGE master”, Daniela Burgstaller, received the master craftsman’s certificate in the festive ambience of the agricultural training center in Lambach. And not only that: Because of his exam performance, Reisinger was one of the five by the trainers and the Chamber of Agriculture “champion of the year” selected from the individual disciplines. From the group of this year’s champions, five people were named who had particularly distinguished themselves in different ways, said Burgstaller. Reisinger received the award in the field of forestry. As Miesenberger noted, more than a third passed the exam with distinction.
