These were then taken over by a police officer who was specially trained in environmental crimes and animal welfare from the district police station inWärmendorf. During a house search, the police seized electronic evidence. The suspect confessed during interrogation, but was not aware of any guilt.

In his opinion, these methods are “the only way to keep the animals with behavioral problems from being put to sleep”.
