President Luis Lacalle Por spoke about the current situation in Uruguay and assured that it “quickly became an emergency.”
At a press conference, the President Luis Lacalle Pou announced that a meeting will take place tomorrow in executive tower with authorities and politicians related to the drought and the water crisis to anticipate the following measures in a situation that worries the Uruguay.
Within the framework of the presentation of the work of art that intends to remodel the bronze eagle sculpture carried by the Graf Spee, the president assured that this Monday’s meeting will be attended by the Secretary of the Presidency, Alvaro Delgado, of representatives of the ministries of Defense, Development, Economy and Financeand Atmosphere, as well as the Office of Planning and Budget (OPP) and of the National Administration of State Sanitary Works (OSE).
The reason for the meeting will be to “evaluate immediate measures as well as medium-term ones such as the Arazati projectwhich the government is already working on,” explained the president, who assured that the water crisis that is plaguing Uruguay “it is rapidly becoming an emergency”.
