“Cultural heritage must be taken care of and cannot be left at the mercy of the will of a hierarch,” remarked Manini Rios, who announced that the commission should be made up of members of the Heritage Commission, of the National Historical Museumof the University of the Republic and other institutions, together with representatives of the Executive and Legislative powers.
