A 16-year-old girl died and another student was injured this Monday in an attack with a firearm perpetrated by a former student in a school in southern Brazilthe authorities reported.
The incident occurred in an educational center in the metropolitan region of Londrina, a city in the interior of the southern state of Paraná. The attacker was arrested.

Attacks on schools have increased recently in Brazil and the authorities attribute them in part to the “apology of violence” that circulates in the networks.
