A 15-year-old cyclist from Freistadt wanted to turn left into Fossenhofstraße in Freistadt on Monday around 5:45 p.m. A car came from the left and turned right into Schwandter Strasse. In order to avoid a collision, the cyclist had to swerve to the right onto the shoulder and fell. There was no direct contact between the car and the cyclist.
The fleeing car was probably a black BMW station wagon, older year of construction. After the accident, the 15-year-old was taken to the hospital by his mother and treated there as an outpatient.
The driver involved should please contact the Freistadt police on Tel. +43 59133 4300-305 in order to participate in the investigation of the facts.
