The seven apprentices are part of the Climate Checker project of the Upper Austrian Climate Alliance. They receive comprehensive training on the subject of climate protection and adaptation to climate change, which should enable them to use the knowledge they have acquired for the city of Linz. “A new path is created by walking it” – this is one of the messages from the apprentices.
“We give our apprentices the tools to develop and implement concrete climate protection projects,” says Deputy Mayor Tina Blöchl (SP) in her function as Human Resources Officer for the City of Linz. This would show that everyone at work can do something for the climate goals.
The project, in which more than 40 trainees in nine companies are taking part this year in Upper Austria, is also being sponsored by the department of the Environment Provincial Councilor Stefan Kaineder (Greens).
