“In my opinion, the topic of social responsibility needs more attention,” says Thomas Netopilik. The 49-year-old Bad Haller, head of an advertising agency, has therefore initiated a new festival together with the management consultant Mario Pramberger (44) from Schlierbach: The name is “GAFF 2023”. It will take place all day on Thursday, June 29th, from 10 a.m. at the seminar center “Der Baum” in Inzersdorf.
“GAFF” is the abbreviation for “Give A Fu** Festival” and its motto is “Make the difference”. It is aimed at entrepreneurs, executives and freelancers. A large number of renowned speakers await them.
More than just profit
“The idea for the festival came to me while reading a book by the British communications consultant Mary Portas, in which she writes about ‘companies who give a fuck’, i.e. companies that look at more than just themselves and economic success”, says Pramberger, “and with this festival we want to motivate entrepreneurs and executives to do more.” Just to make the difference.
The core issue is sustainability, says Netopilik: “But we will also focus on innovation, pioneering spirit and social commitment as well as social responsibility.”
In lectures and discussion rounds on two stages in the seminar area, answers to numerous questions are sought: “What do you care? Where can and do you like to do more? What responsibility can (your) a company still take on? How does it succeed in getting more people for more motivate engagement?”
The duo has brought some well-known personalities from business and society on board as speakers, including the entrepreneurs Josef Haidlmair, Peter Augendopler, Christina Rami-Mark and Bettina Riegler, the innovation expert Josef Rohregger and the singer and label owner Ina Regen. The latter will also give a short concert afterwards, before Karl Landa entertains as a DJ at the cozy conclusion. The catering at the festival comes from Kremsmünster resident Daniel Postl, founder of McDaniels.
