Several hundred guests came to the park on the Linzer Gugl in perfect weather to enjoy regional delicacies. Chamber President Franz Waldenberg and director Karl Dietachmair welcomed, among other things, the agricultural state councillor Michaela Langer-WeningerPresident of the Farmers’ Union George Strasser and Farmers’ Union Upper Austria Director Wolfgang Waller.
Before the pond festival, the general assembly took place in the LK, at which Rosemary Ferstl was elected as the new Vice President. She received 25 out of 35 votes. Ferstl follows Karl Grabmayr, who resigned from his position after almost twelve years. As reported, Ferstl was nominated by the farmers’ association.
The 51-year-old comes from Perg, runs a part-time processing business with her husband and is the district chamber of farmers chairwoman for the Perg district. On the occasion of her election, she said that the increasing quality and animal welfare demands of consumers could only be met if agriculture also can be operated successfully.
