On board were the British millionaire Hamish Harding, president of the Action Aviation company; the pakistani shahzada dawoodVice President of Engro, and his son suleman; the expert french diver Paul-Henri nargeolet; and Stockton RushCEO of OceanGate Expeditions, the company that operates the submersible, and which charged $250,000 per tourist.

Rush went from aviation to scuba diving, as he he was the world’s youngest qualified jet transport pilot when he qualified as a Captain at the United Airlines Jet Training Institute in 1981 at the age of 19, and later expanded his training at the prestigious Princeton and Berkeley faculties. Made first officer of DC-8 (his rank as Captain) during college summers, with assignments to Saudi Arabia, Cairo, Damascus, Mumbai, London, Zurich and Khartoum.
During the last 20 years, according to the information offered by OceanGate, Rush oversaw the development of multiple successful intellectual property companies.

One of the most inverse crew members on the excursion was undoubtedly Paul-Henri Nargeolet, Considered the man with the most knowledge of the Titanic in the world, in fact he is known as Mr. Titanic.
At 77, the Frenchman, a retired Navy commander, was aware of the risks involved in this type of expedition. “When you’re in very deep water, you’re dead before you know something’s upSo it’s just not a problem,” he told the ‘Irish Examiner’ in 2018.

His daughter, Sidonie Nargeolet, told Reuters that lived with “a lot of stress, very mixed emotions” searching for the ship in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean.
“He was passionate about the Titanic since it was found 30 years ago and I know he is now where he would like to be”he concluded.

Harding was a world explorer and at 58 he managed to keep three Guinness records. Without a doubt, he was not afraid of adventures.
Last year he had traveled with six other crew members into space on the mission Blue Origin on the New Shepard rocket.

The Dawood company is influential in different productive sectors of the country such as agriculture, industry and health. Besides, the businessman is part of the board of directors of the SETI Institutea California-based project dedicated to the search for signs of extraterrestrial intelligence.

Suleman Dawood, the youngest of the crew, at 19 years old joined the trip to see the Titanic at the bottom of the ocean with his father. She had recently finished her first year of study at the University of Strathclyde.
“We are deeply concerned for Suleman, his father and others involved in this incident. Our thoughts are with their families and loved ones and we are still waiting for a positive result“, they had expressed from the institution before hearing the news of the death of the crew members.
