The “Münsterer” needed 17:34 minutes for the 5.4 kilometers and won ahead of Robert Reiter (LG St. Wolfgang) and Patrick Tröscher (LCAV Jodl Packaging). “It took me some time to get into the race, but later I pulled away with a fast lap and ran to victory,” says the 22-year-old, who is more than satisfied with the results of the past few months.
“Among other things, I was able to finish fifth overall at the Upper Austrian state championships over ten kilometers and I was really happy about my new best time over this distance. This is now 34:16 minutes – two years ago I was two minutes slower.” , says Wakonig.
