A 24-year-old Bosnian from Salzburg drove his car south on the A7 in Linz on Thursday afternoon. At the level of the Industriezeile motorway exit, a police officer became aware of the unusual driving style.

When the driver was checked, it turned out that he did not have a valid driver’s license and was not carrying any other documents. The police officer noticed a strong smell of marijuana during the check. When asked if he had drugs with him, the 24-year-old pulled out a “smoked joint”. The man refused both a voluntary rapid urine test and the clinical examination. A 27-year-old who was stopped by the police on Friday evening in Holterstraße in Wels must also expect to be reported. The Welser showed clear symptoms of drug use. A voluntary urine test was positive for cannabis. After a clinical examination, the man was declared unfit to drive. His driver’s license was taken away and he was forbidden to continue driving.
