The woman from Wendling (Grieskirchen district) had been traveling with her husband and brother-in-law by e-bike on the Desselbrunn district road in the direction of Wankham (Regau). At a bend in the road, she must have driven too fast. She grazed the guard rail, lost her balance and fell about seven meters down a steep retaining wall over the guard rail. She was badly injured and lay on the embankment.
Three fire brigades rescued the injured cyclist. She was given first aid by an ambulance and taken to the hospital. The road was closed for about an hour.
