As the ÖAMTC calculated in a broadcast on Wednesday, the price of diesel (1.507 euros per liter) and petrol (1.569 euros) in Germany in June was around 50 cents below the level of the same month last year – that is around 25 cents per 50 liter tank filling euros less. The mobility club therefore advises holidaymakers to fill up their tanks before setting off.
How it looks priced in the holiday countries
The ÖAMTC recommends that anyone who wants to travel to Italy or Germany in the coming weeks should fill up in Austria. Because: According to current statistics from the EU Commission, Super is sold there for an average of 1.852 euros or 1.847 euros and Diesel for 1.690 euros or 1.610 euros. A refueling stop at Croatian petrol stations, on the other hand, is worthwhile, here super petrol costs an average of 1.455 euros and diesel 1.458 euros per liter. According to the ÖAMTC, the prices are currently even cheaper in Slovenia. Super is offered there at 1.437, diesel at 1.474.
