Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner (VP), who a year ago was at the top of the trust ranking with a value of +25, now has a value of -4. That is still second place in the ranking, which she shares with her deputy Stefan Pernkopf (VP, also -4).

According to the NÖN survey, the only state politician with a positive balance of trust in Lower Austria is SP state councilor Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig (+7). However, only every second respondent knows Königsberger-Ludwig.

The last place in the trust ranking is taken by the liberal LH deputy Udo Landbauer (-27) behind FP state councilor Susanne Rosenkranz (-26). SP country chief Sven Hergovich has a balance of -15.

“Resounding Slap”

The survey was conducted online and by telephone by the Institute for Demoscopy and Data Analysis (IFDD) by Christoph Haselmayer and “Telemark” by Robert Sobotka. The author of the study, Haselmayer, calls the results a “resounding slap in the face for the politicians”.

Lower Austria’s state politicians can at least console themselves with the fact that they are more satisfied with the state government’s policies than with the federal government’s policies. 68 percent of those questioned are less or not at all satisfied with the work in the federal government, in Lower Austria it is only 43 percent. 55 percent are very satisfied or rather satisfied. According to the survey, just as many support the labor agreement between the ÖVP and the FPÖ in Lower Austria.

In the Sunday question, ÖVP and FPÖ hold the result of the state elections at the end of January after around 100 days of black and blue, red and green slightly increase.
