The Leobendorf site was put into operation yesterday in the presence of Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner and ÖBB CEO Andreas Matthä. The focus there is on the construction industry, raw materials industry and environmental technology. The area is 5.2 hectares.
“The metropolitan area of Lower Austria and Vienna, with a special focus on special civil engineering, is processed from there,” said company boss Kurt Bernegger. Efficient transport solutions would play a central role: the Leobendorf site also has its own railway connection, which was built with ÖBB. It is the company’s fourth railway connection. Recycling and construction material from Lower Austria can be transported to the company’s own raw materials park in Enns for recycling.
